Q. What does hop on hop off mean?!!

A. We are so glad that you asked! Hop On Hop Off is a unique tour format where you and your group travel independently from other groups on the bus. 

The bus follows a recurring timetable, comprising of 6 venues that you can visits every hour. You are free to hop on or off at any of the stops, knowing from the timetable when we’ll be back to collect you and take you to your next stop.

It’s not a guided tour and we’re not there to tell you where to go and how long to spend there. With the info we provide, the use of the internet and your own sparkling ingenuity, we leave it to you to plan your day and to enjoy!

Q. Do I need to book in advance?

A. Preferably yes, as we have a limited number of tickets available per day.

Q. Which days does the service run?

A. We now have 2 buses serving the current two routes, Southern and Northern Routes, and our current schedule is as follow:

Southern Route – Fri, Sat, Sun

Northern Route – Fri, Sat & Sun

As soon as infrastructure is ready we will launch three additional routes for you to enjoy

Q. What is included?

A. Our rate is set price and does not include any tasting fees or lunch at the different wineries, beer breweries, distilleries or cellars.

Q. Where does the tour starts?

A. The tour starts and ends at the different pickup points in Main Road, Paarl. Alternative arrangements will be communicated when the group is bigger than 10 pax

Q. Do I have to start at the pickup points in Main Road?

A. Yes, unless the group size is more than 10

Q. How long before the departure of the tour should I check in?

A. Arriving at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time to guarantee your seat. Departure may be delayed due to overbooking. We recommend that you book via our website or contact us via WhatsApp +27 (0)61 491 0123

Q. What if I arrive late for my scheduled departure?

A. I all fairness to other passengers, we cannot delay departures. Travelers arriving late will be assisted alternative arrangements.

Q. What is your cancellation/refund policy?

A. For any cancellations 48 hours’ prior a full refund will be given for another preferred tour date.

Regrettably, no refunds or discounts will be given for non-attendees or change of mind – transfer to another day may be accepted with prior approval by management if notice given.

Q. What sort of vehicles do you use?

A. We use comfortable mini busses, 7 – 13 Seaters bus equipped with air-conditioning and tinted windows.

Q. Can I buy tickets on the bus?

A. Yes, we accept credit card ticket purchases on board. However, to ensure we have capacity prior bookings by website and phone or WhatsApp are essential  +27 (0)61 491 0123.

Q. What if I can't find my ticket?

A. No problem! We don’t actually need you to present your ticket as we have all bookings on the manifest.

Q. Where can I eat?

A. Our routes offer a range of wineries, cellars, beer breweries and distilleries and all has eating options for all budgets, tastes and dietary needs. Check their web pages for more details on the eating options available.

Q. What if I don’t like wine?

A. Our routes are full of wonderful scenery, amazing food options, chocolate and cheese tasting, historical sites, wineries, breweries and many more. Q. Where do you pick up from?

A. Departing from multiple pickup points in Main Road, alternatively let us know where we can collect your group in Paarl and Wellington (only). We hope to have a centralize pick up location at the local Tourist Information Centre, however you are also welcome to embark from any of the established stops along Main Road, Paarl. 

Q. Can you make additional stops or pick ups by request?

A. Unfortunately, we are not able to pick up guests from their specific accommodation unless arranged in advance. We instead require all guests to meet at the Main Road pickup points in Paarl.

A. For all large groups of 7+ guests, please contact us on WhatsApp +27 (0)61 491 0123 so we can discuss your requirements and help you plan your day. As there is a bit more planning involved with large groups, we know you’ll appreciate the help our friendly staff provide.
